The perfect pre-workout treat for before you tackle your workout.
No-bake Banana Bread Energy Bites
(5 g protein)
Mash 1 large ripe banana in a bowl. Add this to a food processor or blender, along with:
– 1/2 cup almond flour
– 1/2 cup oats
-2 tbsp coconut flour
– 1/2 cup peanut butter (can sub any nut or seed butter of choice)
-2 tbsp maple syrup
–1 tsp sea salt
– 1 tsp cinnamon
-1 tsp vanilla extract
Blend until a uniform, sticky dough forms. If the batter is too runny add 2 tbsp coconut flour and blend again until the dough is thick.
Remove dough from the food processor and use a cookie scoop to form balls of the same size. Roll using your hands and place on a parchment paper lined plate.
Feel free to roll these in toppings of choice (cinnamon, chopped nuts, etc.).
Place in the freezer for at least 30 minutes to set. Can be stored in the freezer for 1 month or the fridge for a week.
